Law - the most boring degree in the world. I've got a friend doing law, sounds like so much work.

They're for pussies but I hate how I look clean shaven. Frown I'll borrow one off of a flatmate to see how good/bad it works, probably can't afford one anyway though so who cares hahahah.

Yeah, that was dropped about a year ago, now I stick to stubble or a sort of neat beard but not even half as long as the picture you're referring to. Wink But yeah, stubble FTW, I'm considering getting an electric shaver just so I can keep the stubble all the time (otherwise if I shave the beard then obviously it becomes a clean shave which I hate).

Haha, Sambuca night from yesterday combined with a little Mexican courtesy of my cooking (and Vicky giving moral support while I cooked haha).

Yeah twas savage. Wrote about the impact of the Irish famine, 1840, on the repeal of the Corn Laws. My problem was that I had no dates, facts or stats at all, it was like a year ago I knew all that shit! I was tempted by the impact of nature on the Persian Wars, but so didn't know enough detail.

harriieee wrote
Nov 4, 2009 at 8:22
The first section was on the American West and irrigation... 10 marks to sum up, 30 to sum up more in depth, then 40 about the impact of nature on an event you have studied (that was the shit bit)... then 30 from a different source about a 14th-c monastery. Went pretty well, much less time pressure than I was expecting, which was a blessing.

harriieee wrote
Nov 4, 2009 at 8:14
Pretty good, the 40 mark essay (4 questions, 100 marks) was a touch shit but the rest went reasonably well, considering I haven't written anything since mid-June..... I haven't heard anything from Worcester about written work submission yet.

Yup, did it all last year and rejected on deferred.... having a 'proper' go this time Wink Kinda sucks as the two people that got in from my year were really good friends (one kinda ex-friend now.... but maybe temporarily)

harriieee wrote

School wantz it now to get references and stuff done. We were all pretty aghast at the deadline. I had an epic late-night statement session the evening before it was due in.... pretty happy with it though. You sticking with St John's?

harriieee wrote
Sep 17, 2009 at 8:48
Have you sent your form off yet? I did it the night before the deadline for me sending it to the school. Yes it was late.

The boy I was up against is such a douche. Like the opposite to me in every way.

harriieee wrote
Sep 17, 2009 at 8:43
I had only just chosen. By some freakish coincidence someone in the year below me ended up wanting to apply to the same course at the same college. Two people from the same school for one place is not a good idea. We both decided to change.

harriieee wrote
Sep 16, 2009 at 10:04
Could I change my mind? I can alter my form as long as the school hasn't sent it to UCAS yet. I think. And yeah I'm not gonna read the whole thing, that would be silly.

harriieee wrote
Sep 15, 2009 at 8:55
It was actually which college. I ended up going for Worcester, just submitted my form to the school after an intensive night of altercations to statement and researching, among other things, history professors at a number of colleges and sports facilities/garden/halls and whatnot. Now I just have 800 pages of Herodotus to read and I'm sorted lol

Nearest to Ox is reading.... it's something I'd like to give a go. Aston Hill is a fairly long way out, there's not much good dh nearby which is annoying. Oh well. 8-week terms is what the real story is....
